With Trump in the White House, it seems that our society has in many ways succumbed to a much lower common denominator. The divisions that exist have only exacerbated the growing divide that has alienated humanity from what is good and virtuous. It is quite evident when over the past 30 years violent atrocities in our schools, entertainment venues, churches, and other places where the public gather have steadily increased in severity and frequency. Yet our leaders seem powerless to find solutions that will undo all the horrible violence that plagues our society.

The truth of the matter is that no one seems to acknowledge that there has been a generational decline in morals, ethics, financial stability along with a rise in government laws, injunctions and Supreme Court rulings that have only intensified the growing callousness of many. With this recent assault on women’s rights, the long arm of a meddlesome government has once again stripped itself of an inheritance right. The government has no right to interfere with women’s right to choose. That decision is between her, her family and hers, her God, not the government. As a nation, we have failed our society because we ignore, consider incredible or dismiss our own history. It is a very sad commentary on this nation that our elected officials continue to abandon the American public for all the contentious behavior displayed in every election cycle and legislative chambers in every state house all the way to Washington.

The increase in violence not only in the United States but throughout the world continues and with it continues the demoralization of America. The Trump Administration has ushered in a series of contingencies that have exacerbated the increased instability and violence that we see almost weekly. For the past two and a half years, when we should have introduced policies that would improve living standards for all Americans and decrease violent atrocities, our elected officials did nothing. If we had done what New Zealand did after its most recent act of terrorism, some of the violence we see might have been prevented.

Today, the Trump White House has once again created a storm of financial chaos with its trade policies that have already caused the cost of living to skyrocket. This at a time when most Americans can least afford it. Now, to divert America’s attention from the adverse economic reality caused by more costly imposed tariffs, this Administration has launched another military fiasco in the Middle East. This is just another example of an Administration that doesn’t care about the American public. Not since the days of Andrew Johnson has the United States been subject to an incompetent and bumbling president. A president who could once again endanger US forces and who has already caused one of the worst financial and economic calamities of our time.

With the primary season heating up along with rising temperatures in the summers, the tempers of an increasingly frustrated public will no doubt flare against the many reforms needed to stabilize the instability and insecurity created by bogus policies. not only of this Administration but of past Administrations. . It is quite obvious that the camaraderie of the American public has withered and died in that vineyard of so many missed opportunities. And, with the political discord displayed by so many, it has only underscored why America is so divided.

When we look at the political landscape for 2020, it’s pretty obvious what the DNC is trying to do. In their rush to thwart Sanders’ nomination, they have endorsed virtually every other presidential candidate, especially Joe Biden. In this way, the necessary reforms that Senator Sanders hopes to implement will never materialize. A repeat of 2016 is almost a certainty. It was then that the DNC worked hard to sabotage Bernie Sanders’ bid for the Democratic nomination. It is high time the public began to realize that the status quo has not worked for most Americans for decades and that radical change is needed to restore the American Dream for all Americans. It won’t happen with Trump and it certainly won’t work with Joe Biden or any other candidate. Change is necessary for growth and rebirth. That is part of the message that Senator Sanders brings to the American public.
