IGNOU online courses
Since its inception in 1985, the Indira Gandhi National Open University or IGNOU has been at the forefront of providing education in India. The ‘University of the People’ has contributed significantly to spreading quality education among the masses through the open and distance learning (ODL) mode. Currently, the university, affiliated with the University Scholarship Commission, offers more than 3,500 courses to its more than 30 lakhs of students. The university also offers many online education courses for the benefit of students.
Online education courses
To bring education to students’ doorstep, IGNOU has introduced many online education courses in recent years. It offers master’s degrees, graduate diplomas, graduate certificates, and certificate programs via the Internet. Some online courses are listed below.
- PhD in Journalism
- The duration of the course is 5 years. The eligibility criteria for this course is Master of Journalism and Mass Communication with 55% qualifications and Master of Philosophy from any recognized University or Master of Science with 55% qualifications in any subject with 5 years of experience in the Media / Teaching Industry / Research in Mass Communication ..
- Master of Intellectual Property Law (MIPL)
- This online program has been designed by IGNOU in collaboration with Queensland University of Technology.
- Master in Journalism and Mass Communication
- The program aims to impart skills to students so that they can participate in newspapers, magazines, radio and television.
- PG Diploma in Legal Process Outsourcing
- The aim of this course is to train law graduates with existing practices useful for the legal process outsourcing industry in India.
- Postgraduate Diploma in Radio Prasaran
- This program is designed to impart skills such as radio presentation, radio management, and radio broadcasting to students.
- Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication
- It is an opportunity for working journalists to improve their skills and improve their knowledge.
