When you first arrive on Maple Island as a MapleStory beginner, you can complete a series of quests as part of your new game.
If you plan on doing it, you should do it while you’re still on Maple Island because once you reach level 10 for your MapleStory character and leave, you can’t go back to the island to do the quests.

Before you leave Maple Island, you’ll want to make sure you already have a good grasp of the MapleStory game. Get comfortable with the different key configurations and you’ll understand how missions work in Maple Story.
Once you leave, you’ll be ready to complete your first job advancement and become the class you’ve been waiting for.
Now that you’re ready to leave Maple Island, go to South Perry and talk to Shanks. You will have to pay him 150 Mesos to board the ship for your departure from the island. The boat will then take you to Victoria Island.
As a beginner, you can easily travel cheaply, but once you choose your first job, the price of traveling in the game will increase.
