Samsung U900 is one of the promising phones launched by Samsung which was launched in February 2008. This could be considered as one of the best models till now by Samsung but the phone is very low with Sony Ericsson G900. G900 is much better phone than U900. The Samsung U900 phone could have been a good piece if the manufacturer had been a little careful with the features.

The 3G phone is a tri-band phone with GSM 900/1800/1900 support and also supports 3G network with HSDPA 2100. The dimensions of the phone are 105 x 49.5 x 12.9 with a 2.2-inch TFT screen with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. The phone has a navigation panel. The phone can store 1000 entries and photocall option.

The smartphone has options like GPRS, EDGE, HSCSD, HSDPA, Bluetooth, USB port and features like SMS, MMS, MMS, Email along with WAP 2.0/xHTML and RSS feeds. The phone is quite good for fans of gadgets. You have options for games, 5 MP with flash, autofocus, image and video stabilizer (QVGA). The Samsung U900 phone is equipped with Java MIDP 2.0, MP3/AAC/eACC+/WMA files and FM radio with RDS. The phone has built-in handsfree and picture editing.

With all these features it may seem that the Samsung U900 is a very good mobile. But when you compare the phone with the Sony Ericsson G900, you will find that the U900 cannot match the G900.

Sony Ericsson G900 is a 2.8-inch touchscreen phone that supports 256K colors. The internal memory of the phone is 160 MB and there is a card slot to expand the memory of the phone. The phone is equipped with GPRS, EDGE for web access, WLAN for wi-fi internet access, Bluetooth and USB port for connectivity and file transfer. Symbian OS, UIQ is the phone’s operating system for fast and easy application processing. There is SMS, push mail, MMS, email and instant messaging. Sony has equipped its multimedia with wonderful features like 5 MP camera with flash, auto focus, 2592E1944 pixels, image stabilizer and video recording and a secondary camera. Your phone’s media player can play all types of video and audio files. There’s a TrackID recognition system, sticky notes to remind you of your jobs, handwriting recognition software, business card scanner, document viewer and editor, and much more.

In this contrast Samsung U900 is not a good option, if you think of Sony Ericsson G900 as the next option.
