A human corpse that has been resurrected through mythical methods such as witchcraft is known as a zombie. This being has no soul and cannot walk properly. Zombies have been mentioned in various European and American folk tales. They have been depicted in a number of movies, such as Night of the Living Dead in 1968. The Dawn of Zombie Haiku e-book describes many of these creatures and how they invade Manhattan in New York during a fictional apocalypse.

Zombies seem to move in different ways, as mentioned in this ebook, as opposed to the slow march that has traditionally been associated with them. Interestingly, while some of them wobble slowly, others tend to run. There are still others who crawl, limp, stagger, and rage at anyone with a pulse. The entire story is told through the eyes of a 10-year-old girl named Dawn, who witnesses the apocalypse in Manhattan. Surprisingly, this e-book claims that the girl knows these creatures well, since her father loves to watch zombie movies.

The zombies invading the city are clearly hungry for blood. As they get closer, Dawn and her father realize they must put together an ingenious zombie escape plan in order to escape with friends and reach the Statue of Liberty. However, the poet puts a twist on the story by mentioning that the plan goes a bit wrong. Ryan Mecum, the poet behind this bloody and harrowing adventure, creates a brilliant piece that sets hearts and pulses racing, much like the original Zombie Haiku penned by him. Dawn documents her epic downfall in her haiku journal, sometimes quoting her favorite poets, as the blood-stained, bone-crunching, eye-popping zombies finally make her their own. In the same tale, she also describes her own terrifying impulses that would definitely send chills down readers. Hopefully this ebook won’t make the reader start salivating.

The Dawn of Zombie Haiku eBook certainly looks like an intense and original take on zombies. Various comics, novels, short stories, and traditional verses have been made in the past, but such haiku has not been written before, until now. The eBook is like a notebook filled with sketches, doodles, and poetry itself.

Ryan Mecum, the author behind the eBook, has created an entire series of Horror Haiku that is made up of Vampire Haiku, Werewolf Haiku, and this. Each individual title has greatly increased Mecum’s online popularity. Ryan Mecum is very active through the social network Twitter. He regularly thinks in a 5-7-5 haiku syllable structure and stays in Cincinnati, Ohio, in the US.

For today’s readers, the Dawn of Zombie Haiku eBook is available in an easily accessible format. It can be viewed on tablets like iPad2, Samsung Galaxy and Amazon Kindle. These tablets also have lights so you can read at night. Also, they can be easily transported from one place to another.
