Honda and Suzuki motorcycles are among the best known on the market, and with good reason. Its popularity stems from a reputation for reliability and the development of cutting-edge technology, along with stylish designs.

If you’re thinking of buying a new bike, chances are you’re considering a machine from one of the Japanese manufacturers. They both have extensive ranges and will almost certainly have a motorcycle in the category you are looking for.

If you just passed the test, you may be interested in buying a 125cc motorcycle. These machines aren’t just for newly skilled riders, though, as they’re also perfect for commuting and short rides.

The Suzuki VanVan is an option worth considering as it is relatively inexpensive and has low running costs. It’s also considered by many riders to be the coolest 125cc machine available, thanks to a retro look that features fat tires, a long seat, and a high-end exhaust.

There is also a range of Honda motorcycles available in the same category including the CBF 125 which is one of the best selling motorcycles in the UK. Its popularity is partly due to its excellent value for money at just £2,500, but riders also find that the combination of low seat height, raised handlebars and confident handling makes it easy to control.

If you’re a more experienced rider who enjoys long blasts on the weekends, you’re probably looking for a more powerful machine. Cruisers are a good option, especially if you value comfort over speed.

Suzuki offers the impressive Intruder bikes in this category. You can opt for the 805 or 1462cc machine, or go for the top-of-the-line M1800RZ. This beautifully styled motorcycle features a comfortable riding position, along with a 1,783cc, four-stroke, liquid-cooled, V-twin engine.

Honda also makes a variety of cruisers, including the VT750, which is famous for its stunning stripped back retro styling. There is much more to this machine than its handsome looks, as it features a V-twin engine with programmed fuel injection that can generate 33.5kW of power.

Of course, cruisers aren’t the only type of powerful machine on the market. If you have a passing interest in motorcycle racing, you have surely allowed yourself to dream of owning one of the bikes used in MotoGP or the World Superbike Championship.

The good news is that you can buy supersport machines that use technology developed for racing and give you a taste of performance on the track, while also being fully legal on the road. Since Suzuki and Honda have great sporting pedigrees, it should come as no surprise that they sell motorcycles in this category.

Suzuki racing bikes have a special place in British motorcycle culture, thanks to the brand’s association with Barry Sheene. If the late world champion inspired you to ride, you might find that the perfect bike is something from Suzuki’s GSX range.

A GSX1300R Hayabusa is sure to draw admiring glances from fellow riders, and not just because it looks cool. Its 1340cc engine puts out a staggering 145kW and the machine comes with a unique clutch assist system to deliver maximum power to the rear wheel.

If you prefer to be on board a Honda with your Dainese bulletproof vest, the ultra-sleek CBR1000RR Fireblade is an excellent option. It was developed using the same technology as the manufacturer’s Superbike World Championship machines and features electronically controlled ABS, along with a 999cc engine generating 131kW of power.
