Imagine what your life would be like if you could STOP chasing income ideas? What would your robustness become if you could start to (finally)! focus on what you love to do…and what you do BEST, instead of constantly having to learn new tactics and techniques, and having to buy more tricks and gadgets from “gurus” to get where you want to go?
The truth is that 99% of people who try to earn income online become a sad statistic. They fall victim to one get-rich-quick scam after another…and make a career out of chasing shiny objects that promise inside information, instead of applying what they DO already know.
I want to give you a simple system that you can use RIGHT NOW, from the comfort of your own home, and prove to yourself that you already know MORE than enough to make a small fortune online.
The key is, and I’m going to simplify this for the purposes of a short article, that you will never get rich by continually “buying” something to make money.
Instead, you want to BUILD something that has value to someone else.
The first $2000 I ever made online came after months of struggling, suffering, and trying to learn every “secret” under the sun.
The ironic? I had the knowledge all along to win those first 2k, probably from day one.
This is what I did…and what I challenge YOU too.
First, register a hyper-local domain name in a high-volume, premium-priced industry in your LOCAL area. (for example, where you currently live)
The best niches are real estate, medical, dental, cosmetology, credit, loans and finance and even independent entrepreneurs in high transactional value industries like coaching, consulting, etc.
Focus on .coms if they are available, and if NOT, believe it or not, you can do very well with .me too. (especially in the soloprenuer style market catering to self-employed service owners in local areas)
Set up a blog, get site hosting (obviously), and add 12-15 blog posts using a mix of original and CURATED content from the local community. (eg find other local news sites that you can clip and trim content from, which will not only add links to your site (via trackbacks) but will ALSO drive traffic and speed up the indexing you’ll get from search engines to start .
The truth is, you only care about this through the prism and perspective of your prospect or client, as it’s a big part of the pitch when you’re selling your site. (eg it has inbound links, the site is indexed and can be found on other local blogs/news portals, etc.)
Lastly, make a list of 25-50 local professionals within a 60 mile radius of the area…and contact them.
Use the email. Or a web form. Or the phone. (I have people who use postcards and they do very well too)
I liked the first site I made, I sold it for 2K on Craigslist in about a week. (1k down payment… and 1k to pay when dentist specs added additional content)
You can add a domain-associated Twitter account, Tumblr account, and other social media pages that will only ADD more value to your ideal audience, and save them from having to worry about setting it all up themselves. (believe it or not, that’s something many “real world” business owners fear…especially the baby boomer generation who aren’t as “hip” as those they’ve grown up with through the technology revolution) social networks)
That’s really the business plan in a very condensed form.
Think HYPER local. Think about BUILDING something that has value for real businesses that already have real profits and real budgets to build their brand.
The above is MUCH easier than selling affiliate products. And much easier than trying to create AdSense sites. And the REAL beauty of the above is the back-end opportunities you can weave into the process. (since you’ll have a captive audience of customers to sell more stuff to go on…and if you love what you do, a REAL win for everyone including YOU!)
