Although there are only 3 radio channels in Swaziland i.e SBIS 1, 2 and VOC (a Christian channel), Swaziland listeners also listen to other South African stations. However, unlike television, where South African television stations have a significantly large audience, local radio stations are listed more than any other border radio station.

SBIS 1 (channel siSwati) has the highest number of listeners across all demographic groups, followed by SBIS 2 (the English channel), which primarily attracts younger age groups. SBIS 1 (Swaziland Broadcasting and Information Service -1) attracts the best listeners from all Swaziland administrative districts (Hhohho, Manzini, Shiselweni and Lubombo). SBIS 2 has significantly the same audience reach in all districts except Shiselweni, where a higher percentage of people within this district tune in to the station. The VOC (Voice of the Church) has a fairly equal audience rate in all districts, the highest being in Lubombo.

The southern district of Swaziland, Shiselweni, also has the highest ratings for South African (SA) broadcasters compared to the audience for these stations within the other districts of Swaziland.
