What is the best wordpress plugin? If you are new to the idea of blogging, a wordpress plugin is simply a plugin that you can add to your blog. There are all kinds of plugins at your disposal. But only a handful of wordpress plugins are actually USEFUL in converting more of your readers into buyers, email subscribers, or loyal readers.

So what are they?

Let’s get to the heart of the matter, as they say… Now, these aren’t just superficial things that will slow your blog down. These are actually the #1 things that can increase traffic to your blog and make your blog 200-500% better than where you currently are if you’re flying solo with nothing.

It’s time to dive in!

Top 10 WordPress Plugins

1. Share on Facebook

This was the original Facebook share button. Many blogs have gone with this blog in favor of the “like” button on the blog. I say BOTH are important. This is why the old Facebook share button is on our list of the best plugins.

It allows social proof to be seen much faster and to be displayed in a more dramatic way. As we know, readers are more attracted if they see many people share an article or content. So by having that at the top, it allows us to show the number of times we’ve been shared on Facebook. Also, the “like” plugin ruins much of the free space on your blog. That’s why I’m including it at the bottom of my blog instead of the top.

The FB share button is still super effective and highly recommended!

2. Tweet a meme

This plugin is almost exactly the same as sharing on Facebook. The only obvious difference is that it’s for Twitter, not Facebook! I’m not a BIG fan of Twitter as any of you who follow me already know. I rarely use it, although I should, but many of our readers use Twitter and love it. So let them spread the love through their 140 character journals.

3.Facebook Like Button

I love the like button, I include it at the bottom of every blog post. The good thing is that it will tell everyone who liked it and sometimes it will be someone the reader is friends with or respects if they are heavy in their niche. Which makes them respect you and your content even more, and makes them more likely to share your stuff with the world.

4. Comment

Let’s be honest. Most people who read a blog, especially in the money-making niches and network marketing niches, also have something they want to sell. To reward these people for commenting on our blogs, we become a “Dofollow” blog and allow their latest blog post to appear on our own blog. This allows them to do a little better advertising their content when they comment to enrich ours.

I love commentluv, because it creates really good backlink juice, which for SEO freaks is awesome.

In fact, I have people who hire and subcontract people to come and comment on this blog. I have no idea how many, but I’m sure the fact that it has comments is a big reason. (Other than my AMAZING content!)

5. All in one SEO package

Even though it constantly wants to update itself, which is kind of annoying, this is an amazing plugin for SEO junkies and any real-time blogger. Because it allows you to put all the SEO information you need in one go. Put it on and go.

This is a requirement if you want to be successful with SEO on a blog as far as I’m concerned, and really easy to use.

6.Google Analytics

This plugin is a behind the scenes deal, but basically with this tool you can get quick updates on the traffic coming to your blog. What’s even cooler is you go into the back office that they have and you can see exactly where each one comes from. Either mainly from Facebook or from search engines. Of course, the biggest source of traffic you want is called “Direct”.

Which means people just go online and type your blog in the address bar! Because those are the people who are loyal followers and like what you have to say.

Other useful information is things like understanding bounce rates and the most frequented pages on your blog. Don’t get lost in the numbers, but understand what they are saying about your blog so you can adjust and optimize everything.

7. Google XML Sitemaps

Also a powerful SEO plugin. This automatically creates a sitemap on your blog which helps with SEO. Basically, the sitemap organizes everything more neatly and makes the spiders and the google gods review your content and index it faster and better. (Which means higher search engine rankings)

8. WP Ezine Articles

I really like this, I have no idea how useful it REALLY is, but I think it’s worth having on your blog, even if you’re not a huge fan of article marketing. Basically, what it does is create a little box in the “Add New Post” section of WordPress. When you’re done writing your post, you can click the “submit” button and it will automatically submit your blog post to Ezinearticles as a submitted article, all within a few seconds.

Save yourself a lot of hassle if you like to submit articles like me.

9. ThatMLMBeat Beat It Button

Just started using this myself, it’s a plugin similar to tweetmeme only instead of twitter sharing its content on ThatMLMBeat. A community of websites focused on blogging specifically in the mlm/network marketing and internet marketing niches. Every time someone clicks on it, your post will be uploaded to your community’s front and main page.

Which is pretty impressive targeted traffic for most of us in this niche! You need a ThatMLMBeat account, but that’s free unless you want the premium. I highly recommend it.

10. SSG Google WordPress Audio Player

I LOVE this thing. This is one of my favorite wordpress plugins, if not the BEST wordpress plugin on this list in my opinion.

You see, I hate making videos but I love making audio. (You know you have that hot silky Alaskan voice haha) and doing interviews. In fact, I have a small library of interviews with many six-figure earners in our profession that I’ve been waiting to pull off and never got the chance to until I found my hosting solution. See, I was messing around with Amazons3 and all this other crap that I couldn’t figure out, until my friend Brandon Connell told me about this plugin.

It hosts all your audio on your blog for free and will also embed an actual audio player within your blog post instead of your reader having to open a new window for your audio (free). Super helpful.

Tips on the best WordPress plugins…

Please do not look at this as a definitive list. I love blogging, but it’s a constantly changing and evolving world. There are new plugins coming out all the time. And some plugins I know I use that I didn’t mention here (but will mention in another post soon) are used for different purposes. These are the basics, the things I think every network marketing blog, if not at least, should have.

The best advice I can give you on using and finding the best wordpress plugins is to network with other active bloggers. Be constantly on the lookout for them. The developers are always coming out with cool new stuff that you can use. So keep your eyes OPEN.

That way you will ALWAYS have the best wordpress plugins on your blog and make your audience very happy and excited to promote you all over the internet world. Good luck and good wordpress plugin hunting/installation.
