I enjoy writing to young people like myself, not because our old ones know more and don’t need the information (which of course they do, and in fact should read it), but because a young psyche is one that is easily and readily flexible to much influence. positive (principles, knowledge, truths) about life as the negative attractions in our society.
Youth life is the period where characters materialize, values are developed, and decisions are made. The choices and decisions that would transform our lives and even generations to come, despite our current dilemma, will be made during this phase of life. Steven Covey, author and grand teacher, wrote, “I am not a product of my circumstances. I am a product of my decisions.” Hence the need for enlightenment and motivation; aimed at decision-making and persistent optimism to stay on the right track, without losing the rails along the line.
Enlightenment can only come from the voluntary will to be informed. Information is knowledge, and knowledge itself is power. If we are informed, we can easily identify your purpose in life.
Everyone has a purpose on this earth. We did not come into this world simply to consume material goods and services, go to school or get that job, get married, give birth, and then die. Or did we? That would be a totally wasted life. Albert Schuster once said, “The tragedy of life is not that we die, but what dies inside a man while he lives.”
We are also very privileged to be beneficiaries of the materials that men before us wrote, so the wisdom and knowledge that they gained through experiences and careful study of life is readily available to us.
The world is transforming in different ways. Information is increasing at a tremendous speed. Research has indicated that every sixty seconds, 2,000 typewritten pages are added to man’s knowledge and material produced every 24 hours takes a person five years to read. Even a computer’s memory can logically compute 6 million words per second in permanent storage and this is about as close as taking in the entire Bible six times in one second. So anyone at any time always has something to learn in life.
Most of the time, the real deal is not in the purpose of reading and learning in the practical application. Often, we hear good words of inspiration and think, “wow, I should do that” to something worth trying being said, and then leave it at that. Why not just apply it?
If you have already discovered your purpose, build on it. Whatever worthwhile effort you have made, give it your all. push yourself Do it at 2x – 10x the amount. Exercise twice as long, write 5 times more than you normally do, or even study 10 times more. Challenge yourself to break some limiting beliefs and limits you have.
As final words, I will recall the story of a student who once wrote to the famous preacher Henry Ward Beecher, asking how he could get ‘an easy job’. Mr. Beecher replied, “If that’s your attitude, you’ll never amount to anything. You can’t be a publisher or become a lawyer or even think about going into the ministry. Neither of these professions is easy. You’ll have to forget about the fields of commerce and transportation.” maritime, abhor the practice of politics and forget about the difficult field of medicine. To be a farmer or even a good soldier, you must study and think. My son, you have come to a hard world. I know only one easy place in it, and that is in the grave.”
