1. What faction do you play?
There are two factions in WoW: Alliance and Horde. Alliance are primarily human and are supposed to be “the good guys”. The Horde are not human and are like animals. Some would assume they are “bad guys”. Blizzard Entertainment, the creators of the game, seem to like to blur the lines between good and evil. So asking your player what faction they play and why is a great conversation starter.

Not all gamers follow the WoW tradition. But if yours does, he or she may have a greater awareness and emotional connection to the game. There is currently a HUGE uproar from expert players over Garrosh Hellscream’s rise to leader of the Horde. Asking about Garrosh could start a big tirade.
3. How many drawings do you have?
You can have tons of characters (or toons) in the game. But most gamers tend to have a primary or main one that they like to play.
Four. Tell me about the race/class of your main toon.
There are many combinations to choose from. But it’s always interesting to hear why someone is attracted to a certain race or class. Does your player like to play with the opposite sex? Cast spells? Do you prefer non-human attributes?
5. What level is your main toon?
Character leveling and the speed at which it is achieved is a great source of pride for many. If this is the case in your situation, go a step further and ask about their feats and great battles. What makes your character special?
6. Do you prefer PVE? PvP?
PVE stands for player versus environment. And PVP stands for player versus player. In World Of Warcraft you can choose to interact (fight) with game-generated characters or other players. PVP can involve duels, battlegrounds, arenas, and the like.
7. What are the professions of your characters?
Jewelcrafting, Engineering, and Enchanting are just three of the primary/secondary professions the game offers. As you may have guessed, your player can have more than one.
8. Do you collect anything in the game?
Pets and mounts are common collectible items in the game.
9. Are you in a guild?
Guilds represent the social aspect of the game. Players join guilds to gather resources, raid enemy areas, search and fight in dungeons. Some guilds are competitive to join. Members must apply before being accepted.
10 How do you earn money?
There are many ways to earn money on Azeroth. But the most common way to earn gold is through the auction house. It works much like the stock market.
