If you like to cook, the stove surely becomes an integral part that is used often. But what if your stove doesn’t produce a blue flame? The heat produced, of course, will not be the maximum. That is why at this time I try to discuss the tips for cleaning your gas stove. The blue flame indicates that the gas is flowing smoothly and that the mixture with oxygen is adequate. I suggest you clean the stove regularly, so that the stove is ready anytime you want to use it. Otherwise, oil or sauce spills will redden the flame and blacken cookware. The flame will not be at its maximum, and if you ignore it, it can be dangerous. So what are the tips to keep your stove clean and save money? I break them down below just for you.

First, prepare the necessary tools, such as a bristle brush, a cloth, and a safety pin. For safety, release the hose and tube connected to the regulator first. Undo one by one all the components of the stove, starting with the pan support, the top plate, the burner head and the posts located in the middle. Wash those parts one by one with detergent. Special for burner head, clean it with filament brush. For fire pit lane, use a safety pin or needle. Rinse the parts one by one under running water. Air all components until really dry. Clean the inside and outside of the stove with a cloth. If the components have dried out, replace them one by one. Adjust the oxy-gas regulator mixing lever until the flame turns blue.

FYI, I suggest you replace the gas hose after three years of use. Use a regulator that has safety so that if a leak accidentally occurs, the hose will shut off automatically. Use a cloth with a soft surface to clean the stove to avoid scratches. Make sure the joint clamp sticks firmly, test it with drops of soapy water on the joint gap. This principle is the same as that used to check a tire for leaks. Also make sure that the rubber on the end of the gas cylinder valve is in good condition, not broken and still elastic.

Finally, turn the lever at the bottom to set the perfect gas and oxygen mixing condition. When doing this step, I suggest doing it while the gas stove is on.
