We as humans really enjoy watching TV shows that depict human life. This is because most television shows portray a picture of what is close to a perfect life, and while there are still problems, there is always a resolution in the end. What you are not fully aware of while watching this beautiful TV show is that you are slowly, unknowingly and painlessly being destroyed. How? Radiation, one of the main causes of vision problems and cancer.

How do we get radiation while enjoying our daily dose of entertainment? CRT TV is the culprit. CRT stands for cathode ray tube TV and this type of TV uses cathode rays to create images on the front screen. This mechanism emits radiation so the recommended surveillance distance is about 10 feet. 10 feet is a considerable distance, let’s say you have a 21-inch TV, and 10 feet. What will you continue to see? How can you enjoy your favorite TV show? Well, that would be hard to do, right? So what we commonly do is get closer to the television and that exposes us more to this deadly radiation. Another problem with the CRT television is its shape. Most, if not all, CRT televisions are concave in shape, which deflects light and distorts the image projected on the screen. This, in turn, will cause a strain on your eyes which can eventually slowly cause damage to your eyes. For this reason, many health-conscious people will choose to avoid watching their favorite television shows just to avoid these ill effects.

What can we do to avoid harmful effects on the body while we enjoy our favorite television programs? Well, the projector is the answer. Instead of using the conventional CRT TV, use a projector. A projector has a larger screen size compared to a regular TV. It also has better definition and more importantly, it does not emit any harmful radiation. A projector is like the old overhead projector that uses light to send the images onto a flat surface to display these images. Unlike the conventional CRT TV, the projector can accommodate more viewers at the same time and that will save your electricity. It can also be used for a variety of other purposes besides watching your favorite TV shows. It can be used for seminars to deliver power point presentations, slides and video clips. It can also be used for wedding and birthday receptions to let visitors know of the special moments the celebrant is having. This is the versatility of a projector compared to your CRT TV.

Judging by the two of them, I’ll really have to say that the projector is much more valuable than your CRT TV. You can enjoy all the conventional uses of the TV, like watching your favorite TV shows, plus other features without having the same harmful effects on your body. Although the projector may cost a little more than a small TV, the advantage is worth the price. So think what is more important. Is it your money or your health?
