As an aspirant progresses on his spiritual path, he begins to experience a variety of spiritual experiences. The seeker who has established himself in purity, self-control and concentration of mind can perceive experiences that are beyond the explanation of the five senses; the mind and intellect are known as mystical or spiritual experiences.

Spiritual experiences and visions are the faint glimpses of supreme consciousness. Visions or experiences serve as milestones on the path of spirituality. There are certain signs by which the progress of an aspirant on the spiritual path can be determined, these are:

mystical experiences:

  • The seeker can feel or experience the subtle essence of earth, air, fire, water and ether through his five senses. He can enjoy heavenly fragrance, taste, sound and touch by concentrating on his five senses.
  • Experience the state of eternal happiness.
  • The rise of a great current in the solar plexus is felt like an erupting volcano.
  • The vision of the inner light is experienced.
  • The object of concentration becomes clearer, more real and distinct for the seeker.
  • Spiritual dreams and dreamless sleep are experienced.

Experience of spiritual emotions:

  • stupor [dizziness]tears, loss of consciousness, choking of the voice, tremor[Shake involuntarily]pale complexion, piloerection[The bristling of the body hair]and perspiration [sweating]are some of the spiritual emotions experienced on the path of spirituality.
  • The seeker may experience one or more emotions at a time. When the seeker experiences more than five or six spiritual emotional experiences, he may lose all body consciousness.

Psychic Power Achievements:

  • The power of clairvoyance, clairaudience, telepathy, hypnosis, the conquest of hunger and thirst, the ability to become invisible, light, large and small weight are some psychic abilities acquired by the spiritual seeker.
  • Experiences of psychic powers serve as a milestone of progress for an aspirant giving him inspiration and self-confidence.

What are false spiritual experiences?

  • Not all experiences and realizations are authentic and cannot always give an accurate measure of the seeker’s progress on the path of spirituality.
  • Many spiritual experiences are simply imaginary tricks of the mind, self-delusion, self-delusion, and the conclusions drawn from experiences in dreams and hallucinations. These pseudoperceptions can induce false spiritual experiences in the seeker.
  • Entities from the outside world or unseen forces from the fourth plane can manipulate a person’s mind and psyche to lead them astray on the path of spirituality. The seeker influenced by these entities may experience false spiritual experiences.
  • These false experiences are not authentic and do not indicate any spiritual advancement.

Who induces pseudo-experiences in the aspirant?

  • The seeker’s own mind can induce false spiritual experiences through self-deception, fabrication, wrong thinking, and exaggeration.
  • Powerful mentors/cult-guru/religious-teacher/tantric/kundalini yogi can also manipulate the seeker’s spiritual experience. The seeker may feel a sudden rise in spiritual emotions or a sense of ecstasy in the presence of a great spiritual personality and can easily misinterpret these as her own spiritual advancement.
  • Entities from the outside world, also known as aliens, reptilians, etc., can manipulate the seeker’s visions, thoughts, memories, and emotions to control the seeker/world by gaining excess life energy.
  • Sexual vampires are the entities that feed on the vital energy generated by sexual activities. These entities can induce experiences of unnatural sex, rape, heightened sexuality in seekers in their dreams or trance state.
  • The invisible entities of this plane consisting of spirits who have unfulfilled desires can create illusory spiritual experiences in an individual in order to divert him from the path of spirituality.
  • Sorcerers/vampires who have higher mystical power can also manipulate spiritual experiences.

Consequences of false or pseudo-spiritual experiences:

  • False spiritual experiences tend to cause pride and ego in the seeker. Enhanced psychic abilities, healing power and heightened awareness, filled the seeker with the feeling of heightened self-realization and self-actualization.
  • False or pseudo spiritual experiences as a result of the manipulation of the seeker’s dreams, thoughts and emotions, these experiences lead him astray on the real path of spirituality.
  • Repeated dreams of perverted sexuality, rape, fear, hatred, anger and enmity are the symptoms of pseudo-spiritual experiences induced by subtle entities.
  • The seeker may fall into the false or pseudo perception of heightened consciousness, enlightenment, and gracious blessings from the desired deity. These feelings of self-satisfaction do not indicate any spiritual progress.
  • In the long term, false spiritual experiences induce in the seeker feelings of delusion, anguish, guilt, and psychosis. Doubts and feelings of frustration often influence his mind.
  • The seeker will be bankrupt from all his spiritual gains. In the long run, with his energy field shattered, the seeker may miss the ultimate goal.
