One in a long line of the V3 series, the Motorola Cellular Phone Razr V3xx improves on its predecessors with the addition of the Opera web browser, HSDPA support and stereo Bluetooth. Slightly larger in design than the original, but still thin and light, the phone comes in several color options, from gray to gold (AT&T’s new Platinum version also just launched). With the same clamshell shape, the external screen is small, but the 64k color screen is a big improvement.

The internal screen of the Motorola Razr V3xx cell phone is impressive, 262,000 colors and a 2.25″ screen that gives you a big view, sharp text and bright images. With a now familiar Razr navigation system, the V3xx keyboard has a five-way navigation toggle, backlight and many shortcut options. You’ll also find dedicated buttons for Cingular Video and the web browser. Standard Razr features include a 1000-contact phone book, calendar and calculator, voice recorder, mode vibration and SMS as well as multimedia messaging. The Motorola Razr V3xx cell phone has a built-in speakerphone for hands-free talking and voice-activated dialing.

A major upgrade to the Razr is Bluetooth wireless technology. Connecting to a wireless Bluetooth headset gives you the freedom to communicate on the go, and you can connect a stereo headset to listen to music. Connecting via Cingular’s HSDPA network offers high-speed Internet access and email, and using the Opera web browser is relatively pleasant, despite some restrictions.

The Motorola Razr V3xx cell phone has an improved camera, with 1.3 megapixels, but despite the update, the flash function is still missing. You do get 8x zoom and a self-timer though. The camera also allows you to record video clips with sound and editing options.

For music lovers, the device includes a digital MP3 player and allows users to download tunes from Cingular Music. In addition, Cingular Video offers streaming video from various television channels, including VH1, CNN, and Comedy Central.

There are some negative points in addition to those already mentioned. The security certificates implemented by Cingular mean that third-party programs, such as Google Maps and GMail, must be constantly approved. The phone won’t allow full MP3s to be used as ringtones, and the extra camera (previously included in the Motorola Razr V3x cell phone) is no longer there.

Overall, this Motorola V3xx Razr cell phone is a huge improvement, with a strong signal, a great internal display, and most of the everyday features the average user needs.
