An area in West London, England, near the northwest corner of Hyde Park, and situated within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea which is Notting Hill.

Notting Hill Carnival, the setting for the 1999 film Notting Hill, starring Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant, and for hosting the Portobello Road Market. The Notting Hill Carnival is an annual event that takes place every August for two days.

Notting Hill Gate began as a toll gate built at the foot of the hill on the main road from London to Uxbridge, now known as Oxford Street, with Bayswater Road and Holland Park Avenue included on the route. The Notting Hill gate was made to prevent people from passing through the streets without paying. The proceeds were used to maintain this important road. Later, in the 19th century, the gate was removed. Now there are many attractions and activities like rock climbing, wall climbing, you can also visit Notting Hill Art Club and Portobello Road Market.

Notting Hill, in west London, is one of the city’s trendiest nightspots and a hangout for celebrities and clubbers. With a wide variety of bars, pubs, restaurants and nightclubs, the area receives a large influx of visitors ready to party. Historically, it has also been one of the most culturally diverse areas of the city, and the legacy of that history can still be experienced in the area today. Although in recent years the area has gradually become more luxurious.
