When we put files together in a folder, we would like to see details about that file. XP allows us to choose between different types of views that change the details of the file that we can see. There are five types of views in XP: thumbnails, tiles, icons, lists, and details. Among these five, Detailed View can show most of the details of the files in a folder.

With many large files in a folder, we often see that our computer takes time to display all the information in the files in a folder. Large files, such as music files and video files, take up a lot of space and the detailed view would have a hard time displaying the necessary information. Fortunately, we can speed up Detailed View in Explorer. How can we speed up Detailed View in Explorer?

To speed up Detail View in Explorer, simply open Windows Explorer. This is the first step in optimizing the detailed view. The next step is to go to the folders with which we want to optimize the Detail View. The next step then is to right-click on the bar at the top of the Detailed View mode. A list of different file details such as file type, file size, and creation date can be checked and unchecked. Choose which details we’d like to see and check if you haven’t already. Then uncheck the details we don’t want to see. This way we can only see the details we want to see and thus speed up the detailed view.
