Steamvault is a level 67-70 instance in Coilfang Reservoir. This is also the only instance that a player can use to achieve exaltation with the Cenarion Expedition on a normal or heroic build, so it’s important to know how to beat it. That’s how.

Thespia the hydromancer

The first boss in Steamvault is Hydromancer Thespia. She is a Naga with two additions and three different spells, all of which are nature damage.

The first spell you will use is Lightning Cloud. This is an area of effect, or AoE, spell that does 1500-2000 damage per second to anyone within it. Players must get out of it as soon as possible to avoid death.

Another spell he uses is Enveloping Winds. Hydromancer Thespia will target a random person in the group and throw this at them to stun them for six seconds. It’s a debuff and can be dispelled so players don’t get caught in its cloud of light.

The last spell it will use is a debuff called Dispelable that does 500 damage every 2 seconds. The two Hydromancer Thespia add-ons have very low hit points, but they do have the Frostbolt Volley spell, which casts Frostbolt on all party members.

To start the fight, have the tank take aggro on Hydromancer Thespia and one of the adds while the other is burned by the party. He then kills the second snap and then Thespia.

Mekiengineer Steamrigger

The second boss in Steamvault is Mekgineer Steamrigger. He has three abilities that will affect the party:

Super Shrink Ray – This reduces the damage of targets by 35% with a chance to recoil.

Electrified Net – This is a net thrown over the player much like what tailors can do. Prevents players from moving while dealing 500 damage to the player.

Saw Blade – The Steamrigger Mechanician throws a saw blade that will hit everyone within range for 1500-2500 damage.

To start the fight, have the tank grab aggro Mekgineer Steamrigger and get the DPS to work. Once his health drops to 25% health, he will summon three to five aggregates to heal him. These can be picked up using Thunder Clap, Consecration, or any ability that hits multiple targets and should be burned immediately. Once plugins are damaged, they will stop healing and attack the player who hits them. When all attaches are dead, continue to damage Steamrigger Mekgineer until he dies.

Warlord Kalithresh

The third and final boss is Warlord Kalithresh. This fight can be very difficult. Have the tank attack him near a container while the party starts DPS on him. When Warlord Kalithresh starts channeling one of the containers, destroy it before he gets rid of the spell or he will receive his Warlords’ Rage buff. This is a self-applied buff that increases damage dealt by 75% and attack speed by 70%. This benefit is not dissipable.

Once the container is dead, continue killing Warlord Kalithresh and repeat this process until he is dead.
