One morning, I was sitting in front of my house, just observing nature and contemplating my life. I watched the clouds, the ants at my feet, the birds flying. There were two little lizards running around like they were playing tag. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a cat appear out of the undergrowth running along the little canal across the street, nothing special about that except then it drew my attention to a dark object that wasn’t there moments ago . It caught my attention, so I decided to get closer to see better. It was a turtle. As he watched the turtle, it began to move, slowly and deliberately continuing its journey, stopping at times before venturing forward.

While studying this creature, I suddenly realized how similar it was to the human race. The turtle fights for life slowly searching for a way to reach his final goal. It often has to alter its course as unforeseen obstacles get in its way, or it passes over or around the impediment. The main thing is that you have a fixed goal that you are trying to achieve and it does not matter what gets in your way or how long it takes to persevere. The turtle has the strength to follow its target no matter what, sometimes even if it kills it.

Now, throughout their journey, they take adequate time to rest and eat, so that they have the strength to reach their final destination. And sometimes they feel fear and hide inside their protective shell. But eventually they find the courage to return to the world and achieve their goal. The turtle knows that he will never reach his destination and the reward that goes with it if he at least doesn’t try.

I’m sure you can see the many similarities between the turtle journey and ours. So when life gets you down and you feel like giving up, learn a lesson from the turtle and pursue your goal no matter how long it takes or how many obstacles stand in your way!
