So, like most other days after a hard day at the store, I decided to play my xbox 360. My favorite game is Project Gotham 3, and I have a great love for Ferraris. I had won a great race, and I had gotten an achievement for winning and I bought the Ferrari F430. Unfortunately, when I was about to compete on my favorite track on PG3, my xbox had crashed.

It wouldn’t turn on again! Instead, it would show three flashing lights on the xbox 360 light ring. Obviously upset and concerned, he had decided to do some research on this. I went on google to search for the problem with xbox 360 not starting and showing three red lights. What I found is that the three red lights were a trouble code for “General Hardware Failure”. I was very angry at the prospect of paying $400 for this game console and, in a few months, seeing its untimely demise.

Then I finally calmed down and threw Google some search terms to find a solution to the situation. Three occurred to me.

  • Return the box to Microsoft. Pay them to fix it and wait a month or two
  • Throw away the Xbox 360 and buy another one for $400, which might have the same problem
  • Find a way to fix it myself, to hell with voiding the warranty, I just want to play Project Gotham 3 again soon!

So……

What choice did I make?

Find a way to fix it myself, without voiding any warranties.

I researched this product that claimed to be within 2 hours of my time, and some tools that I can get at radio shack, to get my xbox360 working again. So I decided to investigate the Three Red Lights Guide a bit more.

The Three Red Light Fix guide was a series of videos, along with a PDF follow-up guide. After purchasing the guide, I decided to watch the videos before trashing my game console. The videos were very complete and the instructions were step by step, with exact details. It seems that anyone could have done repairs on their own xbox 360. So I decided to jump into the fire and fix my own xbox, with the videos guiding me and reading the companion PDF.

So, what do you know! I was a skeptic at first, but now I’m racing my Ferrari F430 in Project Gotham 3. Give these guys a shot. They even offer a money back guarantee if you’re not satisfied!
