Do you like poultry? Or do you prefer fish?

It mainly depends on what you prefer. Is your food preferably fish or meat? One of them is probably the basis of your dinner, unless you don’t eat meat at all.

Both animals will provide you with good quality protein.

Turkey is not as rich in protein as tuna.

A 150-gram serving of turkey will provide you with about 22 grams of protein. This protein is good enough to build muscle and can be used for body maintenance. It will not turn to fat.

As an adult, you need 2.2 grams of protein for every pound of body weight. So you can calculate how much protein you need to eat every day.

On the other hand, tuna will deliver much more protein. In fact, a 100-gram serving will give you 26 grams of high-quality protein, which obviously also helps build muscle and keep your body in good shape.

However, you have to be careful and choose good brands. Not all brands can guarantee excellent quality. Some products may be fattier than others. And you don’t want that fat, just complete protein.

If the price is low, the quality will probably be low as well. Don’t buy fat instead of protein!

The good news is that both animals, turkey and tuna, will provide complete protein. Incomplete proteins are provided by vegetables, fruits, nuts, and grains.

What is the difference? Complete proteins contain all the amino acids needed to build new proteins in your body. Incomplete proteins lack one or more amino acids. They cannot create new proteins.

Just depend of you. Prefers meat, eats turkey. He prefers fish, he eats tuna. Never eat too much protein. That is true for poultry and fish.

If your body gets too much protein, it will store it as fat. And turn them into sugar.

Complete proteins are slowly digested in the tract between the stomach and the intestines. This is good news because you don’t feel hungry after eating one or the other, be it turkey or tuna. You have a feeling of a full stomach without this showing up as heaviness.

This helps you stay trim, with lean muscle and good overall strength.
